NBD Finally!!!

Can't tell for sure from the package shape but I'm guessing you got either a Sea Bass or a couple of Large Mouth Bass.

Now why you need a 5 pin to 1/4" adapter has me confused. Are you planning on cooking your bass with electric current?

Inquiring minds want to know!

LOL. My Soviet bass came in very similar packaging, except the seller put the foam package inside a feed bag with the address taped onto a piece of scrap wood zip-tied to the neck of the feed bag. The post office clerk actually said "***!" The package was kick ass though, unusual but very well protected.

For the plug, order a "5 Pin DIN Plug" (Rean makes nice ones) and a standard guitar cable with serviceable ends. Replace one of the ends with the DIN plug. Different mfgrs use different pin assignments. So, pull the DIN socket on your Soviet guitar to see which 2 pins to wire on your DIN plug. One of my Soviet basses (with on-board fuzz) has a 2-channel output so I am working on setting that up with a stereo cable.

Well DUH! How else would you cook an Electric Bass?

Wow, I'm not getting the put downs. Different isn't always good, it's rarely better but who's to know, it might be cool as hell and not sound out of the ordinary. It may in fact be extraordinary! I look forward to your review.

Well, that review wasn't too promising.

Hopefully you'll be able to dial it in and get some use out of it.

And, if not, at the least it'll be a conversation starter.

Back during the Soviet break-up, tons of Soviet goods were being proliferated throughout Europe and my Aunt in Rome sent me a Soviet Navy Submariner's Watch. Made of bronze, heavy as hell and it required constant winding. It wasn't as good as the cheapest Timex but it was very cool. I wore it for years and showed it off to anyone that noticed it.

I just checked eBay... they're loaded with them. Mine looked like this but in bronze. Same dial face.

Enjoy it, whatever it turns out to be.
