NBD - G&L SB-1 custom

They've been doing the SB-1 for a couple of years now. It's just not on their website yet (recently has a "coming soon" announcement). The switch is something I didn't now about. Also, are you sure it's a nitro finish? I didn't think G&L did nitro.

Stunning bass Congrats ! Yeah all SB-1's are custom order and any G&L dealer can order one for you . Killer axes ! I think ours might be close cousins :D

The dealer talked me into the s1 switch. Said he had done it before and it was a big hit and even if I didn't like it I could just leave it off.

The more I mess around with it the more I'm realizing I'm going to need a volume pedal. The volume pot has so much control over the tone and turning around and changing it on the amp between songs will get annoying.

As promised, here's a .wav file from this bass into a TC BG-500 amp with everything set as clean as possible. Recorded using a Tascam DR-07 recorder. Volume was on bass was 8/10 Tone was 5/10.

Link Removed First scale is S1 switch OFF, second scale is S1 switch ON (I apologize for the squeaky chair, it's also picking up a lot of finger noise from the bass I probably should have been sitting further away)

Me either. But....I seem to recall bdgotoh (or someone back in the dudepit days) having an SB-2 with a factory-added switch. Don't recall what the switch actually did, just remember that it came from G&L with the mini toggle installed. Special order or some such thing.
