Nice bass, but some 5er-headstocks turn out pretty weird and odd appearance, e.g. all 4+1 Fender, MMs, G&L and the Thunderbirds as worst, though this opinion is very personal.

I respect your opinion and I’m glad we have the ability to choose what we like. I kinda like the G&L 5er headstockNice bass, but some 5er-headstocks turn out pretty weird and odd appearance, e.g. all 4+1 Fender, MMs, G&L and the Thunderbirds as worst, though this opinion is very personal.

And I drooled over it in the G&L club but couldn't help but share my drool in this thread....
I posted this in the G&L club but couldn't help but share my joy in it's own thread.

A G&L cherryburst with a maple fingerboard is such a nice looking combination.I recently got an M-2500 with almost identical specs other than the color, and I agree with everything you have said about them:

Almost every time I take it out to play in public someone walks up and comments on how great the tone is. Enjoy your M-2500!
It really is an under appreciated bass, even among G&L enthusiasts. I would add that the M2000, while slightly more mellow and modern, can still rip like an L2000. That 18V preamp is fantastic.
Great looking bass! I'm curious, how well does the M-2500 do the EBMM Stingray thing? I've been thinking about a Ray but I'm wondering if this GL would be more versitile?
I hadn’t realized that was you. I’m glad you found this one. The only thing I would change about mine is the finish. The Metallic Blue is nice, but I really prefer natural, stained or translucent finishes that let the wood show through. Love the look of yours!I remember! I was the guy who said that I had seen that bass on CL but it was a little far for me to go to check it out. I'm glad you snagged it.
That is a sweet-looking bass! I've always been curious about G&Ls, but have never crossed paths with one. If they play and sound as great as they look, I may have to hunt one down!

I find the EQ on the M2500 makes this bass a chameleon.
