NBD: Geddy Lee Jazz

Yours probably didn't come with the extra holes on the pickguard like on mine. I added those to replicate his 1972 bass before he modified it for the TMT and beyond

So you're saying, if I ever have to sell my Geddy bass in 10-20 years, I can get a heck of a lot more for it than $600-800? :D :O

I find my stock tuners work fine. What makes the HB2s better? Just curious; I'm not trying to provoke an offense or attack on you. Just wondering.

Exactly :) If Fender Japan is actually closing like I read in another thread they could potentially become desirable.

IMHO the Japan Geddys are among the best Jazz basses out there. I've never played a US Geddy but it's hard to imagine that it could be much better sound wise. I much prefer my Japan Geddy jazz to my Fender US Jazz Bass.

I agree somewhat. I'd love to own an American Standard Fender one day but even if I had one, my Geddy would be my number 1 forever.

I would like to try the USA Geddy jazz bass though.

No offense taken MP, I was just answering M.R. Ogle's post #17.

I am the original owner of a 2009 GL and my tuners work just fine as well. I do have Hipshot USA tuners on other basses though, and find their quality very good.

Enjoy your Geddy jazz, I like mine so well I'm not even gassing for the new American version ;>)
