Picked up this CL find yesterday for $100 figuring I could slap a set of strings on it, do a little set-up, and flip for a nice chunk of change. Problem is: the more I play it, the more I like it. I think it's getting added to the fold. Not sure of the year or model but I love the retro look and the neck is great. My son likes it too so he may end up taking it. (if I let him) Got a set of flats on order for it. Been playing my 4's more lately so I can get better at switching back and forth between them and my 5's.
Edit for info. Fender site says it's this: VINTAGE MODIFIED CABRONITA PRECISION BASS

I have found the Indonesian instruments to be better in quality control than the Chinese versions. If it sounds and feels good, you are golden. If it feels good, it is a good platform for experimenting with pickups. Enjoy!

I have a couple cheaper oddball basses I use to experiment with. Try out different pickups, etc. Or just leave it alone and have fun with it!

cheapest I can find one used on the internet is about 250 so you got a great deal!

Flats on that bass would make that baby SANG! Not sing but SANG! (There is a difference you know) That's definitely a keeper. Kind of like those pawn shop guitar stories you always hear about that ends up becoming iconic.

Keep it. I don't think it is going to depreciate any more in value, so if you sell now or later you'll make the same amount.

That's a fantastic find for a hundo! Definitely keep it, unless you could flip it for 300 and use the money for something else you want.

I was looking at Rochester Craigslist yesterday because I will be in town for Thanksgiving. That listing caught my eye. I sure would have grabbed it up given the chance.

2013 , great bass, too bad Fender put the wrong size pickup in them. But, for $100 that's a steal and worth the price to upgrade to a TV Jones pickup.

For sure keep it, killer deal man! There will be some song, or some gig in your future that this bass was made for, and that moment alone is well worth the 100, even if you never play it again.
