Thank you - I'm leaving it at the factory 16.5mm setting for now. That's kinda how an SR should feel to me anyway and it never gave me any problems.

Nice to have options though.

Thanks for the kind words! I love the color - but ironically, I kept seeing pics (even a couple of videos on YT) on the net that made it look it had almost like a green-ish hue. I was hoping it was the brownish coffee color in real life (and it is).

But while taking some pictures for this thread, I actually snapped a couple pictures in more direct sunlight that came out with the green-ish hue.

Must have something to due with the kind of direct sunlight, the way the Shadow Burst blends into the Ash grain, combined with the way some cellphone cameras process it. I think it washes out & overwhelms the exposure sometimes, and the camera just shrugs and says, "green"?

I googled to learn more and found here when you click on Specs that a gig nag is included. Let the comments begin….

Mine came with a gig bag - but it's just a standard offering, nothing noteworthy.

Just typical gig bag with the white Ibanez logo across the front. But it does fit the smaller body of the Soundgear series better than an average gig bag. It also has a velcro neck-secure on the inside to keep things from sliding around.

I had owned an SR700 previously and wasn't impressed with the Barts - I should have kept the bass and swapped out the pickups! Best playing bass I've owned and I have been playing over 40 years.

I still own an SR-705 that I bought new back in 2012. I grew to dislike the Bart MKII's also - I eventually dropped in some Big Singles before Ibanez starting warming up to them and using them in some of their models. In a way, it was my upgraded 705 that put me on a path to this current SR1345B - I knew it would sound great straight out of the box!

My first SR Premium was an SR1305, should have never parted with it. But all is well again with this 1345.

Ibanez sure builds a nice instrument, especially those Premiums - the attention to detail is very tangible with them. Plus, SR's have always consistently been some of the best playing & sounding instruments I've owned.

There's always some new combo of beautiful woods to check out - hard to go wrong with any of them, although the 1345B caught my eye the most.

I also think leaning more towards Nordstrand pickups is a great move for their basses.

I really like that burst, too.

I would really love to get my hands on an SRSC 805 Cerro. I got to play one once about 4 years ago - it was really sweet.

The Prestige 1605DW is pretty cool with true 18mm bridge spacing as well…I'm just not too crazy about its current color pattern…

The 1605DW is a Premium model. Prestige are made in Japan, and Premium in Indonesia. Only the 5000 and 4600 series are Prestige.

I've never had the chance to play anything from the Prestige line, but I imagine they must be pretty amazing! I think those are also using custom Bartolini pickups & preamp.

The pickups are also curved to follow the string radius...really nice for even string response, and feel as a ramp, too.
