Still waiting on my pickguard.....hopefully this week. I'm dying to take her out to play a gig. It sucks having a new bass and not really being able to play it.

I'll probably go with a different company for my next custom cut pickguard.

Yikes...came across this yesterday. It looks like at least one other person has had issues with the QC on the initial batch of basses.

Got my pickguard in today from Pickguardian! Looks great and fits perfectly! My bass looks so much better now. I'm going to set her up with some DR Black Beauties strings.

Is that white or ivory? I just ordered an ivory one and if that's what it looks like, I'm even more excited than I was before.

Its ivory but in the light from my backyard door it looks more white.

It's the same bass that's in my avatar.

Thanks! GAS was just killing me so I drove by a local music store at lunch. It's a smallish one so I didn't think they'd have one but it must've been in the cards because they had a black 100 model. Let's just hope the one I ordered is as solid as the one in the store.

$47.50 shipped for the pickguard. It's a one layer gloss style. I wanted it to match the headstock. Looks so much cooler now.

New one seem to be pretty solid, my local store now has a few and every one of them is rock solid with no issues. A few basses from the early batches seemingly had inadequate quality control as they were rushed to the market. Awesome basses, looking to get a TMB300 in the near future to keep my 100 company. Really sold on these basses.

Part of the reason I bought from my local music shop. a) They'll inspect it and set it up when it comes in and b) They'll order it from Ibanez so hopefully I won't get an early one that's been sitting around at GC or MF.

I LOVED that my Local Mom and Pop got the TMB100's in most colors and I had the chance to sit down with them before I pulled the trigger. Helped me get the one I wanted for sure.

But seriously, no. I make sure to unplug it whenever it's not being used. I have an active Fender P bass Special that hasn't had the battery replaced in over 8 years!

Ha...ok just checking. I never realized that was the case until I had an acoustic with a light that showed when it was on. I'm a little ashamed to admit how long into playing music I finally learned that though.
