My new bass came today. I picked her up from the classifieds from a great seller.

The hard shell case came with it but the strap was one I bought for her. Strap is a Walker & Williams G-15 which is really nice. The bass balances great and the strap is very comfortable.

I noticed that when the knobs are centered the screw holes are visible and pointed up so I am going to switch those around if I can.

Having the screw holes visible may be by design. Do they point straight up when the knobs are centered? If so, it's supposed to be like that...kind of a 'knob pointer'. I personally think that bass begs for a set of the black Sadowsky style knobs from Best Bass Gear. They are larger and have white pointers, I have them on my 44-02 and they match perfectly. I always thought the stock knobs looked puny on that large Lakland body :)

I guess I don't know. But they bugged me when I looked down and saw them, so I moved them. The dials do have an 'indent' they stop at in the middle.

Yeah most folks use the screw hole as a 'center indicator' if the knobs do not have indicators. That way you look down, see all the screws pointing upwards and know everything is centered.
