That black lines board is a sexy trick. "Unlined" boards really do it for me. And from three feet away that looks unlined.

Me too, I love the clean fingerboard! Yes, you can only see them if you are playing it, they are really slim.

Nice. I have a lined Elwood L (active/passive). I love the less intrusive black lines on yours. And, I really like the simple passive controls. You made some good design choices.

Thank you, I still wonder if I should have kept my initial thought on the 24 fret thing, but if I chose it I would be wondering the opposite. The really upper notes doesn't really do it for me, though. I prefer the more "Bass" sound of the middle and lower notes.

Yes, I love the sunburst, I just can't help it, sunburst and tort, I love it!

The front wood pattern reminds me of the tear the Port Wine makes, and I from Porto, so that was a nice surprise.

Hello TB!

I had this bass made for me and i have had it for a couple of weeks. I must say, I love this bass! I never had a fretless, but wanted one almost since I started playing bass, in 1999.

Now, I thought that it was time to buy a new toy for me and I don't regret it a little bit. It plays wonderfully, I love the sound, the way it fits when I play it, I can't really explain it, but it just feels right, it's awesome!

It just seems that I need to do no effort to play it, it has lots of ressonance, I can feel every note in my body. Maybe it's because it's new and I am in the honeymoon fase, but I have never felt something like this with the other basses I've played.


So, here are the specs:

Maruszczyk Elwood Fretless 4 strings.

Alder body, Ash on top and bottom, 3 tone sunburst, nitro finish.

Birdseye maple, tinted vintage neck, nitro finish.

34'', 21 "frets", 38mm, 12º radius Rosewood fingerboard with black lines and side dots.

Nordstrand Big J Blades Warm and Wooly pickups.

Standard bridge 19mm spacing, hipshot ultralight 1/2 tuners, passive VVT knobs, Schaller security locks, all black.

Man, Thats an awesome bass!! Really beautiful! I have an Elwood too and I feel the great resonance also. No rattles on the E-string cause the headstock sits at an angle. I love that! Great basses! Enjoy!

No, I don't think so, I think it's like a Fender.

No, but Portugal and Germany are both in the European Union, and there are no taxes inside the EU.

From this thread ( The Official MARUSZCZYK CLUB! ) I know that there are one or more importers of these basses to the United States, ask there, they participate in that thread. For what I read there, you do the order with the US importer and he takes care of everything, you just have to choose what you want and wait. And pay, of course, ahah!

I painted the side lines so I can see them easily, they are black because they are continuous with the fretlines. These helps me a lot.

Hi, Adrien says they are Italian and in the specs they say Trentini strings.
