Looks and sounds awesome! Congrats!
Is that "normal" that the B string is tapered down at the ball end?? Never seen a string like that... (but, then, I only play bass for three years now)![]()

Thanks, @Dr. Cheese and @Scott Bland - learned something new about strings today! (Are these exposed core strings more common for stainless steel strings though? That might explain why I have never seen them myself before... - prefer the more mellow sound of nickel rws)Exposed core B strings are pretty common. Many people feel they yield better results than traditional B strings.

I think they are the normal Bartolini mtd pickups.
Exactly!!!!Absolutely gorgeous!!! congrats and there's no better feeling than hitting those first few notes on a new bass and they sound amazing.
Thank you so much! I cant wait for the next gig!!Gorgeous, great playing too.
Everyone should play an mtd at least once. Supremely well made instruments. IMO well worth the hefty price. Have fun!
In the post covid world I’ve gotten to gig mine once, playing tomorrow night for gig #2. Mines a little hefty but they balance so well you don’t notice.Thank you so much! I cant wait for the next gig!!
I have been lucky to be in Texas so I am back to gigging 6 or so times a month. Wearing masks and have vaccinations when in public eye.In the post covid world I’ve gotten to gig mine once, playing tomorrow night for gig #2. Mines a little hefty but they balance so well you don’t notice.
