Next up is our May 1 gig, so I'll have time to actually dial it in before then. They are a gold color.Hard to tell if the silks are green or yellow, so I would guess either Fender flats or DR Legends
My DJ5 is a killer instrument. I don't plan on going back to 4-strings full-time, but this will be a nice change of pace bass that I can break out for sets where I don't need the low B.Congrats on your nice bass, now you'll never play your others..Precision bass = Alpha & Omega of Bass!!
The pickguard on this one appears to be some kind of aftermarket, all-black (flat tone) one. I might eventually spring for an actual Fender multi-ply guard to replace it. Surely they didn't come with a single layer all-black guard, right?I have a 96' MIM that I rescued a couple years ago. It was nasty when I got it.
Same color but I changed the pickguard and put Fender Original pickups on.
It's one of my favorites!
Mine was that cream color with a white pickguard and it was so ugly. I bought one off of Amazon I'll post a picture. The pickguard on this one appears to be some kind of aftermarket, all-blacl one. Yeah, that part is pretty unique. You can see the knot that caused that on both sides of the neck, which slightly concerns me, but it appears really solid. And the grain pattern is really cool. Neck is dead straight.A beauty. I especially like the curved grain on the fretboard.
That's a nice bass. I think I need a P bass also. Someday soon.Bass has arrived - see pics below!

Best part is that we have a gig tonight. Hellz yeah I'm gonna play it if it shows up in time!
Yeah, "by 9:00", when you need it, is almost always "right after 9:00"Still waiting!!! This has to be some kind of worst case scenario. Waiting on FedEx for NBD on the day of your first show of the season. AHHHH!!!
But also, first world problems, so.... not that big of a deal in reality.
Awesome bass bro. Dig those gold silks. Never seen those before. It's here! Nothing super special, but always fun to have a new bass. This one is completely different than my Lakland DJ5, so it'll be cool to have such a different tonal range.

1995 MiM Fender P
High mass bridge
Lollar pickups
Currently strung with flats
And it came with a nice Mono gig bag (wasn't expecting that!)
Action is super low to the point of some minor buzzing, so I'll have to raise it a bit before I can call it perfect, but a brief plug into the amp shows promise. Looking forward to getting to work with this one!
Check neck relief first after acclimatization.some fret / nut adjustments
