NBD pawn shop find

Just picked up this little gem for a song! Went in halfway looking for some cheap lawn tools, weed eater, chainsaw, etc , and saw.... this! View attachment 3411420 CIJ Geddy Lee with case and strap locks. They had a very reasonable price on it, but after some discussion and the promise of paying their asking prices on the lawn equipment if he accepted my offer on the bass, we struck a deal. Just got home with it, popped the neck for a quick truss adjustment, and wow! Low low action, plays and sounds great! First good deal I’ve made in a pawn shop in quite a while. Will get better pics after I edge the lawn and trim some branches!!!
So... what exactly are "songs" going for nowadays? That's an awesome bass, BTW!

Morning all,.....no pics of lawn equipment yet........ to answer the price questions,...even though you're not supposed to kiss and tell,..... I offered $400 out the door, they made me pay tax on the $400, and I gladly accepted. Not Golden Pawn,.....a Cash America, Golden Pawn was more fun when a bassist buddy of mine worked there. Kevin Flint, GREAT player! And btw, returned the weed eater for another one, this one works well. Got the chainsaw running correctly, only to realize, someone had installed the chain blade on backwards! :rollno: I'll see about fixing that after my second coffee. The bass is playing great after the truss turn and holding nicely. So glad I didn't order the Sterling Ray34 before I found the Geddy. They were both $400.

Well that just sucks for me... LOL... I walked into a small pawn shop the other day and the guy says "I have a 12 string over there you might be interested in". I looked at it and told him he had some scrap wood with strings on it. He says "I'm only asking $100 for it". I told him I wouldn't give $1 for it. The action was about 1/2" high at the 12th fret and the top of the body was warped from the string tension on the bridge. It had no name on the headstock just some kind of graphic logo...
