I'd have the same Grin if it was MEMe on the day of unpacking my T40 welcome to the clubView attachment 3132800
Yeah, I've gpt a few too many foundations... anyway that's what my wife thinks, and I think I've got at least 2 cases where the case linings were gone when I bought them. I think Ill try DAP contact cement on one to see how it works. Absolutely love the functionality and the look of the T40. Just wonder if I could rebuild a T40 balsa body and get it to weigh in at about a the same as my burger from McDonalds.Neat to see the rods present.
As for case linings, for the early cases with fur it seems to hold up pretty well. For the more common later versions with just foam it seems to be almost always be gone or melted.
Our old keyboard player, a wee waif of a thing, tried to pick up mine one day and never even got it off the stand; from then on it was the Concrete Bass. For several gigs after that I kept it on a stand next to her rig when I usually played my XL2. Perplexed, she asked why, and I told her "if it gets windy, you can hold onto it and we won't have to come looking for you in Kansas".Great basses. You may find a hater here or there but, this bass is cemented (no pun intended) for a reason.
That’s wise...knees bent to support the load!![]()
