I don't think I've noticed that strap on that bass before! Very nice choice.

Thanks Matthew! It sounds.....UN-describe-able. I thought it might be good, but it's way better than I thought it would be. I may give recording it another try (failed again, on my last attempt). It's much bigger than most people would want to hear, anyway. For me, the woody, knocky sound of the toaster is so friendly, then I push down the volume pedal on the horseshoe board, with distortion on it and WOW! It's gets huge. I can dial in exactly how much effect I want to add to the clean pickup using the volume pedals. I dialed it in last night playing along to Genesis: Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway and A Trick of the Tail. It sounds like I'm playing in the halls of Moria (Lord of the Rings), or something.
