NBD! Rickenbacker SnoGlo w/ Checkerboard Binding

Actually, Maurice Gibb had several Ricks. The white one in question was originally a Fireglo RM 1999. In one of the photos above, there's another full-trim (binding, shark-fin markers) white one as well. Wints still has the Gibb bass last time I checked.

White Rics are cool ...

I was just looking over these pics (I saved them to my computer) and couldn't help but notice how easy it is to see the routing underneath the pickguard...perhaps it is due to the white color? I haven't noticed it on any of my Ricks...but check out the pics below. The routing is clearly visible even at reduced resolution...

Im trying. I LOVE the look of the PU cover, but I'm so used to being able to move my right hand around.

I decided to leave the cover intact. It took me a while, but I adapted to it. The contour of the body pretty well lends itself to finger plucking in between the 2 PUs. For me at least, my pinky tends to rest on the cover while my index and middle fingers do the work. I'm actually more of a Fender P guy in general [insert cliches here about why] but I do make it a point to play the Ric from time to time. Usually it's just sitting home playing along with YouTube vids, but I am going to gig it one of these fine days. The guitarist / singer I jam with laughs at me: "what are you going to play tonight?".
