Just for fun I swapped out some parts. The neck is a MIM 57 reissue and the pickguard is from Amazon. Both were a perfect fit. No new holes needed, no adjustments whatsoever.

I did a mod to mine today . I was having some trouble with my A string buzzing and the usual trust rod adjustment wasn't doing too much although it did help some . I was having to use a light touch to make it work , I couldn't dig in much . I've got DR Pure Blues on it so it was partly the round wounds . The break angle on the A string was almost non-exsistant so I looked for a solution besides more winds on the post . I got a three string tree from Guyker . It was two of them for $10 on Amazon. It worked real well , now even the D and G string besides the A I can dig in more and the notes are more solid . No problem digging in anymore . It changed the look of the headstock but it's ok with me .

Anyone have brand/part numbers for these pots? Or links? Also for the knobs that go with them? I would like to do this tone mod with full size knobs.
I also bought a $119 SX (a PJ) from them, about 14 years ago. I still have it, and it's great!Nice! I bought my first SX P bass from Rondo Music way back in the day for $119+ shipping. It’s nice to see something to fill that price point, of some quality again.
I also bought (actually, my wife did, as a birthday present to me) a $99 SX P-Bass. That was in 2009. I still have that one, too, and it's seen hundreds of gigs.

I know it was early on. It was because of my niece who had just joined a little punk band and they got a drum set and a guitar from Rondo Music and told me to read the Mega thread on here. I joined TalkBass because of my niece, Rond Music, and SX basses back in 2003

I was looking at your's and looked back at @C Stone 's pickguard and it doesn't show any gap on his.
It appears that C Stone's pickguard is a little bit wider around the output jack on his than the pickguard you have. It could also be a difference in the routings. Most of the lower end Chinese manufacturers are still using templates instead of CNC to rout the bodies, pickup routs, neck pockets and control cavities. While templates do work well, they are more prone to error than CNC routing. It's possible the template shifted or there is a flaw in that particular template.
The same could be said for the pickguard, as many of the Chinese manufactured pickguards are from templates also.
The issue could also be a combination of both issues and you just had a bad luck of the draw.
Overall, it does look sharp.

I made an update to my Debut P last week. I swapped the pickups and harness and dropped in pickups plus the full harness from a Fender Player P Bass which I bought on the Bay.
I was hoping to improve the clarity of the sound in our mix where I use this bass , as part of our band at my church.
Did it help? I was curious. I made before and after recordings on my home practice amp. I could hear a tiny improvement but I might have simply been hopeful to justify the decision. It certainly was as good...but neither was it overwhelmingly better.
On our much better sound system at church, it seemed more than just incrementally better. I liked it better... and a band mate plus several others commented it sounded good. So, I'll take it.
The improved jack, however, was a big step forward. So too was the tone pot/cap... I can now get a wide variety of tones.

Oh, and one unexpected win in the pickup swap... I've read that most luthiers dip screw threads in wax before inserting into wood.
I also read a good and inexpensive source of said wax is toilet wax rings... boom, $2.75 at my local Ace and I have a lifetime supply of bass wax.
It certainly eased mounting the new pickups.
