Just picked up a really NICE 2011 Vintage Modified Jaguar bass. Full scale, passive, stacked knobs, "Duncan Designed" pickups.
Was thrilled to find this model in White, my favorite bass color, so I got it.
Here's the deal...I can't find ANYthing on this model (or any Squier Jag, for that matter) coming in Olympic White. According to what I can find...and what I remember...Squier Jags from this era were either Black, Burst, Red, or Silver. That's it.
Everything looks stone stock factory, it doesn't at all look like it's had a respray.
An FSR maybe??
Love the bass, but I'm a little perplexed.. 20211104_211831.jpg 20211104_194417.jpg 20211104_194408.jpg 20211104_211850.jpg

No idea why I found this info on Walmart of all places, but they did Black, Red, TSB, and White colourways. Black is the only one I had seen up until now though.

I stumbled across that too. Lol.
Walmart of all things. Funny that's the only thing out there, seemingly. I found Squier catalog PDFs from 2011 and the years before and after. Olympic White is not shown as an option on any Jaguar bass. Looks like the primary color on my particular model is Black, with painted headstock.

I am almost 100% positive that my bass left the factory with it's white finish. I'm going to try to contact Fender, to see if I can get any info...if they don't mind me bugging them about a ten year old Squier..

Okay, just got the scoop from Fender..
The bass was manufactured in Nov. 2011 in OLYMPIC WHITE.
:)
This was definately part of a special run for a dealer, or something. They did not have the info on which particular one.

Now, here's the cool part. It was only showing 85 serial numbers from that run! Damn, what a find!
I was happy enough to find a full scale passive, stack-knob Jag in White...now to find out it is so rare!
:laugh::cool::hyper:
Awesome!
