New Basses Day - they arrived! Merry Christmas to me! The Earthwood unfortunately sat out in the cold overnight because the parcel deliverers couldn't ring the doorbell. :( Excuse the sellers' pics here, they are actually still in the boxes temp acclimating:

I take it you're playing some Violent Femmes later?

Awesome NBD. I have always wanted to try one an Earthwood. An acoustic bass guitar you can actually use!

Never really listened to them, may have to now. I've been wanting and waiting for an Ernie since they first came out! (Long before VF was born.) :)

Congrats! Nice, nice basses- haven't seen those before. You got me worried at first when you mentioned they was sitting out in the cold- thought it was going to be a tragic story. Good call on the precaution and leaving them in the boxes to get to room temperature.

Yeah, the big one (which in this case is not the Earthwood) came right in. I'm pretty ticked at USPSP/UPS/FedEx/whoever it was for leaving the Earthwood out there without even ringing the doorbell - my car was in the driveway, I was here! Idjits! I suppose they're way overworked and in a hurry this time of year, though.

If I remember correctly, the Earthwood is super rare right? There just aren't that many around...I don't mean necessarily very expensive, I've never seen one in person.

I want that Ernie Ball so bad and they were rare when they first came out now almost impossible to find it's considered to be the best accoustic bass ever congrats and put me in line if you ever sell it. I here you about deliveries this time of year they usually dump and go my Martin acoustic sat on a cold truck because of a snow storm and on delivery day I see the driver dragging the box across the snow she must have been 4'11" you can't say anything unless you want your next package to "accidentally" fall three or four times.:)
