NBD!!!

Just picked up this G&L SB2 Tribute. I was skeptical about the neck at first because I prefer P bass necks but this thing is MADE for me! Absolutely love the song and feel. I really don't have any qualms about this bass yet and people tend to complain mainly about the lack of a tone control but 2 knobs is my max before I get irritated so honestly I prefer it this way.

I had an American SB2. It was as good as any Fender I ever played. I would love to have it back. Money issues caused its sale about 8 years ago.
Another will be my next bass. I just don't know how the tribute compares to the American in wood, tone, electronics, etc. Post back after you've played it a while and tell us what you think.
And, if you decide it isn't for you, I will gladly take it off your hands and provide you a Squier VM so you are not without axe.

Funny thing! My Squier VM is now my backup bass! I've been playing it all day and I cannot find a single flaw, it seems to be near perfect.
