I'll probably get a beat down for saying it, but I like that style bridge over the three point. Like I said my brother played em for years and never had a three point. Just how I remember and love them.

Dunno about that. I once played one (borrowed) in a Cathedral for a service that was using parts of Bernstein's Mass. It sounded beautiful, Even the stuffy resident organist complimented me on its tone going through an old Acoustic 150 guitar head and a 301 cab. I had to keep the volume on 4 for that one. The room took care of the rest.![]()

Like the box says, if my grandfather wasnt one I would probably wouldn't have been bornSo you're an Old Spice man.
Congrats!
I had one in the 'high school wood shop project' natural, and it was a really cool bass. I discovered the preamp worked great for down-tuning, so it became my go-to for doomy stuff in C and D standard. With the treble dimed and the bridge pickup soloed, it sounded devastating through a tube amp with the gain cranked. Really gave the distortion lots of character.
Sadly, I just traded it away last week, as I have a Dingwall Combustion 5 coming, and have started to really stick to a one-in-one-out policy. For me, the neck was just too thin (thinnest one I owned, and among the thinnest I've ever played). Also, the cost has gone up so much from Epiphone that I basically traded it for what I paid for it. I'm sure I'll regret that eventually, but the Dingwall desire is just too strong.
Enjoy, and make sure to play it hard with a pick. It really nails that aggressive tone...
Ok, that's the bathroom pic. Now I believe we need one of the bass in the car, and one on the bed.
