NCAA Bracket Challenge

pittsburgh's out! :atoz:

and if ucla loses (tbd in the next nine seconds of play!), i'm screwed. i have'em going far in my brackets. i figured that since they don't have to play florida for the third time in a row, they might have a shot at getting somewhere. :D

edit: ucla wins! *whew*

I wanted to see TA&M win, tough break though. They hung in there. Big 12 needs more respect!

Well, my Washington State Cougars are meeting North Carolina Thursday after stomping Winthrop 71-40 and then absolutely dictating the game to Notre Dame, winning 61-41. It was pretty amazing to see them completely shut down that ND offense and hold them to 26% shooting.

I watched part of UNC's game yesterday, and I really don't think that they have anything we didn't see in the PAC-10 this year. I'm hesitant to predict a WSU victory, but I can guaran-damn-tee you that they won't be intimidated.

And of course, the media are giving WSU no respect at all. That doesn't surprise the Coug fans. We're just starting to see the first stories coming out that say - "Wait a minute!...who are these guys that held ND to half their average point total???"

That WSU-UNC game at 7:25 ET on Thursday may be one of the best games in the entire tournament. Don't miss it!!

Go, COUGS!!!

I was with you until the line "I really don't think that they have anything that we didn't see in the PAC-10 this year."

Is this the same PAC-10 that sent 6 teams to the tournament to see 3 get bounced on day 1 and have its best team nearly eliminated by the 6th best team in the Big 12 and its second best team nearly eliminated by the 6th best team in the Big East?

Perhaps you have seen everything that my Heels have in the PAC-10; but I doubt that you have seen everything that my Heels have on any one PAC-10 team. :smug:

That said, WSC seems to be the class of the PAC-10 and have that whole David v. Goliath meets Rodney Dangerfield thing going so you never know. I'm looking forward to the game as well.

Well put!! I think you summarized my concern in that first statement. They have a LOT of stuff put together, and it will be a great challenge to deal with that.

That said, the Cougs really are playing the Rodney Dangerfield role in this tournament - if that's possible when a team has progressed this far.

BUT - IF we beat UNC - THEN we'll get some respect! :D

Thanks, BUT IF WSC takes my Heels - THEN I'll have a lock on the bottom of the TalkBass group (and will probably end up somewhere in the 2,900,000's on the entirety of ESPN.)

You can also say goodbye to Tony.

The "no respect" Coug fans are everywhere this week. Any of the other Seattle area TB'ers know what I'm talking about. The Cougs aren't getting much respect in this game because of who they are playing, the #-flippin-1 team in the country. Heck, you are a Coug and you aren't even picking the Cougs. So why should guys like Hubert Davis (UNC grad), Jay Bilas, Bobby Knight, or Joe Lunardi pick the Cougs?

It would be cool of they won though.

Oh look. Wisconsin got taken to the hole. BY Davidson. LOL!!! What are you gonna do when KU runs a train all over you, brother? You can't touch KU. They gonna take your weak ass team and drop them by 20. You better pray at the altar of Bill Self, because he is your new messiah.

ROCK CHALK!!!

PAC-10? Overrated.

WSC you beat Portland. Ooohh good for you. Wait till the 'Hawks come to town.
