Yup, saw that. I've seen the video too - the player did indeed lay the fan out while leaving the field. Whether it was purposeful or not may be in the eye of the beholder.
Changing the subject a little, but not that much - WSU can win on the road. UW can't seem to to do that lately. I expect UW to beat Utah this week, but I'm not feeling too optimistic about the Apple Cup. Especially because WSU will have a week off and will be coming off a bye.
Rooting for Texas Tech to beat TCU in Lubbock, and the Horned Frogs being without QB Kenny Hill, that may happen. If they do and Oklahoma State wins out, there will be Bedlam II in Arlington for the Big 12 championship!
Scoreboard operators and first-down chain gangs are trembling at the thought.

While I tend to sympathize with players in this kind of situation, I can't help but grin that it happened shortly before the Apple Cup. Wazzu needs all the help it can get.
(Let's not mention the 10 players Minnesota lost off their roster before the Holiday Bowl last year, but still smoked the Cougs in that bowl game. Still haven't figured out how that huge letdown happened. )
I'm optimistic about the Apple Cup, but my Cougs have a tremendous talent for doing a face plant whenever they get on national TV.
Eh, you're fine. Victor hasn't been much of a force on the field all season. He lost his LB job and was playing some DE.

No kidding. It's proof that Chris Peterson doesn't mess around with discipline, but it's a real shame to see a kid shoot himself in the foot like that. Dumb kid mistakes as far as I can tell, and we were all dumb kids once. But still, it's a shame to see him come apart like that.
That will be the one game I'll be actively rooting against the Cougs. But, they have some advantages. The first is that they have proved that they can actually win on the road recently. Huskies? They will be at home, so it's a wash. The big one is that the Cougs have a bye this week, unless I'm reading things wrong. That gives them two weeks to prepare and heal up. The Huskies will have whatever bumps and bruises they have now, plus whatever bumps and bruises they will get from Utah and one week, not two.
As far as Victor being a distraction of any kind, I wouldn't think it's an issue. He was a pre-season All American, but he's no longer starting. At this point, he's a second teamer who got into trouble. It's a shame, but that's the facts. I don't think the Huskies will miss him all that much. The people they will miss is most of their starting defensive backfield. Nothing like facing the Air Raid when you are down to the third string cornerbacks. It could get ugly if the Huskies don't control the ball most of the time. Or even if they do.

I’m on the opposite side. I’m a big TCU fan tomorrow. I don’t want to face OSU a second time. We’re the better team but in Bedlam that often doesn’t matter.
