NCAA Football 2022

I'd love to see TCU win it all for the first time in 85 years.

Me too for the sole reason that when I worked at a hospital in small town New Hampshire, one of the primary care doctors I worked with graduated from TCU, and is a Texas native.
She applied for the job at this small hospital on a whim, then got it.
Her office was decked out in purple and gray, TCU doodads everywhere. TCU lanyard, surgery apparel, you name it. I sent her a message the other day congratulating her on the exciting season.

Sonny Dykes, the TCU head football coach, he knows what's up with this transfer portal. After a third Alabama player announced he as transferring to TCU, he made these comments:
"We expect to compete against Alabama, not only in recruiting but on the field. So the thing you don't want to start doing is taking a bunch of guys at Alabama that can't play for them. Because in theory they shouldn't be able to play for you either."
He knows, but I didn't see him telling any of them no. TCU is hip and trendy now. Maybe I will transfer there too.

Not sure what the context of that quote is, but it sounds kinda dumb. Alabama recruits more top tier players than it needs, while despite having a great season, TCU is not there. Any good coach will evaluate players in the portal and take those who fill positions of need, no matter where they come from.

I got the vibe he's saying if they aren't good enough to play at Alabama, and they are good enough to play at TCU, that TCU is not as competitive as Alabama.
There are details missing for us to make accurate statements about the situation, but all things being fair, if running back A and running back B are both five star recruits and running back B is on the bench, he must not be as good as running back A for various reason including practice effort, attitude, etc. So, running back B says forget this and transfers out to somewhere he can play, presumably for a team not as good as Alabama.
As a head coach, do I want guys not good enough to play at a school like Ohio State or Alabama? Not if I want to beat Ohio State and Alabama. If I take those players, I am dooming myself to lose to those teams. Now I'll look even worse doing so since my roster has players who couldn't get on the field at Ohio State and Alabama.
Again we are missing some details about these players and the situation that make it difficult to do anything but speculate. I just appreciated that Dykes had a grasp on the situation and what it makes TCU look like.

Looking forward to the title game. I expect Georgia to win but would like to see TCU take it.

Here's a breakdown of the various ways to watch. I've never deviated from the main telecast, but want to at least try Skycast this time.
