They aren't. And if Florida had won tonight, there would be plenty of Bama fans complaining about rude Florida fans. There are enough idiots to go around for all college football teams!
No sir. I'm talking to all y'all Bama fans here. You guys came out with the pedal to the metal and didn't let up. The Bama sideline was electric all night long. During those long TV timeouts, players and coaches were running up and down the sideline pumping each other up. Over on the Gator side, except the couple speeches from Tebow, it was very...umm....stoic. Like everyone was waiting for Tebow to pull his "Jesus" moment and score 24 points on his own.
I didn't talk alot of crap before the game, so I don't think I need to eat any crow. I respect you guys and knew it would be tough to win two years in a row. Personally, I think this was more about the players than anything Saban and his staff said to them or prepared them for.
As for you guys.....you'll have the Texas game in hand by halftime. The BCS crystall football will stay in the SEC.

Dunlap or not, Bama was not to be denied on this evening. We got to McElroy a few times, but they froze us up with the play action and several of our guys lacked the discipline to stick with their assignments.
That, and the Ingram Bowling Ball. I haven't seen a RB run with that much purspose in a long time.
Oh, on a side note, I got to meet one of my favorite Bama players of all time...Bobby Humphries. He was at FanFest. Met Shaun Alexander too, but I met him when he played for the Seahawks. Oh, and Shane Matthews, but I never really did like him all that much.

I think it now comes down to Ingram(front runner after today IMO) and Gerhart. McCoy and Tebow may have lost thier shot. Would love to see Suh (Mark "Mayday" May called him the best D lineman in the last 15 years) in NYC but that's not gonna happen.

I'd like to see Gerhart get it, despite him playing for 'furd. Then again I'd like to see just about anyone in the Pac-10 who's not a Trojan get it.
Also, I'm glad Oregon will be going to the Rose Bowl. I've always liked the Ducks.
bold statement....i think Texas will be ready for them to at least make it a close game.
plus, you have to factor in the Heisman not going to McCoy....

It's a major down year at USC, they lost four games.

Yeah, it is a major down year, but considering all the Trojans lost (front seven of the D, both coordinators, Sanchez) over the off-season, it could have been worse. Heck, if 8-4 is the worst season in the last seven, that's still way better than most other D1 programs out there. They'll be back. It will be odd to see them playing a bowl game so early, though.
I'm not so sure about that. The Bearcats can score in bunches.
Ingram certainly had a great game, but Spiller nearly beat Georgia Tech single-handedly. Too bad everyone was watching the Texas-Nebraska game.
another thing about florida. in urban meyer's statements to the media, for whatever they're worth, he seemed to complain about the fans complaining about the team's (offense's) performance. but, really, our complaints have been fully legitimized by the loss. we went through the whole season waiting for the other shoe to drop, and yesterday it finally did. if urban were worth his salary, he'd have seen this after week two and tried to correct tebow's decision making and getting the receivers more involved, possibly even resorting to using some of the new guys, since tebow absolutely refused to pass to anyone except his roommate and hernandez.
what a disappointing end to the college career of some great players (especially on defense). if mike's assessment of the florida sideline is accurate (and i suspect that it is), then i place the loss entirely on urban for not mentally prepping his team, for allowing them to walk in on saturday like ohio state did in january 2007.

Given how things went, I don't think Dunlap's presence would have had much impact--it's not like he was twice as good as the other defensive linemen. No excuses, this was a butt-kicking.
As much as I'd love to see McCoy win, my (fictional) money is on Ingram. He was on beast mode yesterday.
Who knows, it might be a good thing for McCoy to not get it - Vince Young used his losing of the heisman as fuel for the fire against USC when UT won the championship last.
Yeah, I will admit I was befuddled by Florida's offensive play calling. It looked as if they thought they could just come to this game against a Saban-coached team they beat a year ago and just win the game with the same ol', same ol'. I have mixed emotions still because I was hoping to see some different looks from Florida, but nada. You'd at least think they would have tried to sweep the ball with Rainey, Demps or James. Those guys only getting 3 touches combined is baffling. I wonder if the coaching staff put too much stock in the trouncing of FSU last week, and figured that Bama would give it up in the same way.
Bama however proved to have a lot of tricks up their sleeves. The first offensive play of the game was from the spread, and they went no-huddle many times in the game.
I think Florida is much too talented to have gotten beaten that badly. I do think Bama was hungrier, but Florida's gameplan was horrible. Whether that was by accident, negligence or just distraction, it's hard to say.
By the way, what's up with Urban checking into the hospital for dehydration this morning? It's not like he played. How could he be dehydrated unless he just wasn't taking in any fluids?
absolutely right. what a friggin' waste of talent. throughout this season, the coaches absolutely refused to make any adjustments, thinking that we could win by sheer talent alone. it worked 12 times, but not the one time it really mattered.
no idea what caused meyer to get dehydrated. the game yesterday was vomit-inducing, though, so that's a possibility.
i'm on edge about notre dame hiring its new coach. but if it leads to us poaching the dude from tcu, then by all means, notre dame.
I disagree. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], Bama ranks #20 in the nation in strength of schedule and UF 27th--a pretty small difference, wouldn't you say? TCU, meanwhile, ranks 84th and Boise 98th. I still think they deserve to be in their BCS slots, but don't tell me Florida didn't play anybody.
I'm amazed that Nebraska climbed up in the polls after the loss. First time I've seen that in a long time.
