NCAA Week 14

controversy?

Why is TCU in the mix? I'd pick a florida/bama rematch before i'd pick TCU. who did they play all season? Utah? give me a break. If you want to be in the national championship, you've got to prove you can beat the best teams, and it's difficult to do that if you don't play any of them. To be honest, i think there are about 10 teams that could have a better NC showing than TCU. Call me crazy!

+1 If Texas had lost, Oregon should have been next up!

Yet, we will never know because the current system just doesn't allow for it.

Now I know why I don't watch SEC football. CBS announcers as worthless.

+1 They are the worst in the business! I am a golf fan too, which requires me to suffer through Vern during CBS "golf coverage."

No doubt. I think Verne has lost his vision. He can't identify players by their numbers or whether a football goes through the goalposts.

Danielson always makes at least one "prediction" a game. This time it was Alabama would use a "trick play." He then spent five minutes, before and after the commercial break, explaining how a tight end slant was said "trick play." What a dolt.

Ha ha, take that Trojans. *Celebrates USC losing.*

Too bad my Bears are losing to Washington.

Too bad Washington rang them up for 42, which means four-loss USC still finishes ahead of Cal. Deal with it.

You're crazy, even though TCU won't be in the mix. I think Cincinnati may jump TCU, the game against Pitt was a great one.

And who has Florida play all season? LSU? Give ME a break. Florida didn't play anyone all year either. Bama goes out and schedules a tough neutral field game on week one agaisnt Va. Tech while Florida is playing Charleston Southern. Stuff like that will catch up to you in the end.

I hope Florida will go to New Orleans and represent the SEC better than we did last year.

We'll do our best.

But dang....did Bama show up tonight or what?? Sheesh, I don't even remember the last time we got whipped like that. Wait, yes I do....1996.

I got tons and tons to say....I'll try and keep it short.

Bama whipped us up and down the field, but we sure did seem to play with little emotion and determination. It looked to me like Meyer and Strong mailed in this game as they were probably busy dreaming about their new coaching jobs next season.

Football in the South, especially SEC football. There is NONE better on this earth. What an awesome atmosphere. Any of you who have not been to an SEC game.....go to one. Seriously.

Texas.....you don't stand a chance on January 7.

Mike, I know your post was directed at Eublet, but I want to say thanks for being a good sport. You guys are going to beat Cincinnati like a drum!

Didn't you say a couple of pages back that "Most of the Bammers I met so far have been quite unpleasant."?

Sounds to me like you have to be wearing the right color jersey to have a good time there.

Brad, you said a lot of what I was thinking. What a disappointment. Bama played superbly, they had virtually no mistakes and they made the plays when they had to. Major props to McElroy, he really stepped it up. Ingram was brilliant. And Bama's secondary was excellent, too.

In contrast, the Gators contributed significantly to their own demise. Lots of missed tackles and poor angles on defense, which led to big plays. And on offense, every player Tebow threw the ball to dropped at least one they should have had. Demps was set up for a nice gain on the first possession when he flat-out dropped it, Hernandez dropped a tough-but-catchable (for him) TD pass, etc. And Tim's INT in the end zone (granted, the game was over by then) was a really bad throw.

What a bummer. I hope the guys think about this for a month and then come out strong in the Sugar. In any case, it was a great run.

and texas wins it. man. nebraska could've had won it, too. :(
I watched it on and off, including the final minutes. I was rooting for a Texas loss and chaos, too. Can't believe Nebraska gave Texas 35 free yards between the out-of-bounds kickoff and the horsecollar.:rollno:

Aside from the ignorant fans. The atmosphere at an SEC game is one to be experienced. If you had no rooting interest in the game, I would suggest you cheer for the home team if you picked an SEC stadium to go to.

But as for tonight....yes, it was rough. Before the game was bad enough, but it was much worse walking back to the car and stopping for dinner. Did I meet every single Bama fan tonight? No, so I am sure they are not all this way.
