Need a new watch

The older Seiko divers are great; built like tanks, and easily customizable. I've got a 7002 diver that won't die. It's a bit beat looking, so for nicer occasions, I wear a modern Seiko 5M62 diver. It's pretty big, though. Check out PMWF.com, the poor man's watch forum for more info on watches at your price range.

My everyday 'beater' watch is a Citizen Eco-Drive. I've had it for about 9-years and had no issues with it! It's been a really great watch!

I also like Seiko. I have several automatic mechanical models and they're very good; they do what you need them to do. They last decades if you take decent care of them!

One of my daughter's friends wears a pendant pretty routinely that took me a second to realize that it was the internals (that is, everything but the case) of a pocket watch.

It was only a week or so ago that I realized it somehow still tells time, and pretty much accurately. I don't know how that's possible with exposed moving parts. I'd expect it to have gotten jammed long ago.
