Great answer, but maybe shorten it to just A Discord? I think that works better grammatically, fwiw.

as in

"A discord of bassists...." etc

I thought about that -- like "murder of crows" -- but I didn't like the overlap with the Discord community. And I actually meant to spell it with an 'o' as in "discordion" so it would echo "accordion"...but THEN I liked the call to the religion...so I REALLY over thought it...
