Need help wiring replacement high-pass filter for Avatar cabinet mod

Glad to hear it.

Can't really answer your question without being there. (does your bass have single coil pickups; etc.)

But some general advice: don't put your head a foot away from this cabinet! it's loud.

Maybe I'm ******** but I can't seem to get any sound out of the 6" driver, except for static buzzing. Everything is coming out of the 12 inch sub still. Which makes sense because the input jack is connected directly to the sub instead of going through a 2-way crossover first. Am I missing something? Maybe it's because 1600 Hz is higher than the highest note on my bass? Listening to a 1600 Hz test sound, this is almost certainly true.

I ordered some 2-way 800 Hz crossovers, but I have a gig Sunday and I'm screwed if they don't show up in time.

Use this opinion for strictly what it is. An opinion.
A of years ago I needed a bit more low freq volume and built a cab with the Kappalite 3012 LF.
That worked out well. Then I wanted to add a higher freq speaker to this cab hoping to be able to use it as a standalone occasionally. I had a 250W 8" mid driver on hand and tried incorporating it. I had a 500Hz crossover on hand but no L-PAD. Did not work very well of course. Then I ordered an 800Hz crossover. The mid driver was still too loud.
I needed either a good L-Pad or a crossover much greater than 800Hz. L-Pad would have solved this problem for me.
