Sweetie, I only call you sweetie due to you having such a sweet disposition, and yes sweetie, daddy has his own tri-amped pa.

The 80s called and wants its PA back. I had a tri-amped PA back in the day with seperate boxes but got tired of dragging it around. Since your so knowledgeable maybe you can tell me what lesser drivers are in my EAWs?
Sweetie, don't feel bad about getting old, angry and sensitive -lots of people are in that situation where they essentially live their lives in one continuous "Blah"...I understand your need to lash out at things you don't fully comprehend however when the neighbor kid accidently hits a ball into your yard could you stop screaming "get out of my yard ya little bastard", anyway I hope you get a chance to upgrade to the previously mentioned drivers and you're quite welcome for the information...then again perhaps it might be best to avoid any type of upgrade since working at component level may be a little overwhelming and I certainly don't want to see the poor neighbor kid suffer more then he currently does. I have 4 Peavey 15 inch mains that are passive. They are maybe 6 years old. Need amps and all the stuff to make em ring. I run 2 18 inch passive subs. I have 5,000 watts. To do it again now I'd be looking for powered mains and subs and (off topic) getting a wireless mixer control that can run off an I Pad. I like the Peavey SP2's & 4's. I have rented JBL speakers(dont recall model #'s) that sounded really good.
Our keyboard player uses a Behringer 900 watt mixer with 2 12 mains for our band practice. It doesnt sound bad at all...but it does not have a nice full rich sound as the volume goes up. The sound is more "at" you instead of what I like to call "to" you if that makes sense to anybody.
Summary. I like and use Peavey PA gear. I like JBL speakers. To get out from the old and into the new I would be locking at powered units.
