Yes, you'll need a Neuro Hub to pass the midi messages to the C4.

Yes you are right, it depends if your are looking to control just this one pedal (ie like a C4 extension) or you are trying to control a C4 along side a lot of other midi pedals. My board consists of a pair of H9's, a C4, an Aftershock, EXH hog2 and a Stymon Mobius. So a master midi controller / programmable switcher like an ES-5 works well for me and allows a lot of future expansion too.

I think that's more of a drummer thing. Dozens of people spontaneously combust each year. It's just not widely reported.

Never have I ever... regretted using effects. After 20 years bass -> amp, I started experimenting with pedals to liven things up. Completely reinvigorated my joy for the music and the instrument.

That's good to know, thanks. I've been thinking about adding an Aftershock to my board but I'm hoping I can use the DMC to control both. Fingers crossed.
