I have never stood on top of a tall building wearing a loin cloth singing the Immigrant Song, while playing a bass.
My kinda guy!!
I'm a Bassist...never once in almost 50 yrs have I aspired to play, or own, a 6 string guitar.
I Love my Cort Curbow 5 string, but That's as far as I'll go...

Never have I ever been able to find any other way to experience the comfort and joy I get from playing electric bass; alone or in groups, clean or mucked up, melodic or dissonant. It's an unparalleled experience for me.
Having lived in Dallas in 1980 when it hit 113 I would say nothing is suited for that!!

...since finally changing the strings on my '66 P(acquired '69)in '72, not used roundwounds.
...covered any Skynyrd, Nugent, Foghat, Seger, Boston, Rush, Styx, Head East, Kansas, Chicago, ELO in a band.
...had a manbun.
...been mellow, never tried.

Played piccolo bass.
Bought the strings a few years ago thinking I would put them on one of my basses, and then quickly realized an additional bass would be required. Well three new basses have been added to the herd,...deals I couldn't pass up... but none appropriate for making a piccolo bass. Eventually something will come along to fit the bill.
