NEW 2010 Fender Jazz!

And I think some people -- who wouldn't buy this bass if it was $1000.00 cheaper -- just like to whine!

You're probably right.

The more I think about it, when the price comes down a bit, which it almost certainly will before the last one is sold, it's not that bad. I'd pay 1799-1999. That's several hundred more than a custom build, but it is a Fender, and that has value as well.

But they'd have to give me a lot more options to tempt me to open my wallet that wide.

Guitar Center sells MIA standard J-bass for 1099.99 but some are complaining about paying 1999.99 for a anniversary model J-bass that has a nitro finish which is more expensive to produce than a poly finished bass. I'm not understanding why some consider this to be out of line.

I don't understand all the fuss about the price.
It's just my opinion, but when i like an instrument, I don't care about the price, yes of course I try to negociate to pay less, but if it's really a thing that I fell in love with, then I buy it.

I don't mix the feeling of love for an instrument and it's price.
