New 3leaf Pedal???

OK I understand - any idea on a future release date yet? Proton is a quirky name but in the UK they are also the manufacturer of some really bad cars!!

Oh, and no room for a battery anymore with all the additions so it's 9-18v supply only. It sounds better on a power supply anyway. I also ditched the true/buffered bypass switch so there's now no reason to unscrew the bottom panel (unless you like looking at resistors).

I changed a bunch of components... The new ones will sweep a bit deeper and decay a bit faster. There's plenty of sensitivity so even the quietest basses should work fine. I could get it to sound even closer to the mutron if I messed with the range a bit but I think you guys will like the deeper sweep.

I can't talk about price as per the CUP, but I will be able to ship worldwide once it's released.

Thanks, Spencer.
Hoping it arrives today!

Anybody have any soundclips? I know someone posted some earlier, but i can't open them. This might be a late X-mas gift for me. Hey Spencer, any ideas on release date for your OD pedal? Thinking I need more dirt, but might hold out for that.

Proud owner of a Groove Regulator

Most likely the first half of next year. I'm going to start work on it as soon as I do the first build of Protons. The overdrive section of it is done, I just need to do the clean boost circuit.

I'd be happy to buy a prototype of the OD pedal for evaluation. I'm also going to purchase a GR2. I just ended my "affair w/ the mxr 82". Why? Just discovered the "groove regulator "

I recently received my L-Sound moderated Mu-Tron back from the USA and I used it at a rehearsal last night and wow what a sound! I would be really keen to A/B this against the new Proton and see how it fares. The Mu-Tron is great but takes up so much space and weighs a ton!!

During the design process I was constantly A/B'ing it against my L-sound modded Mutron. The prototypes I just shipped out were tweaked a bit more to my taste, and are a bit deeper and with a more full-range sweep, but I can get it sounding virtually identical with a few resistor and capacitor changes.

WOW!
Spencer, nice work!
The reworked pedal arrived today. Wife isn't feeling well, so I could only do low volume testing, but WOW, and I repeat, WOW.
The "filter staying open" artifact is totally gone. Tracking is great, this filter is very articulate. Lows seem solid and strong, and I got extremely close (if not spot on - hard to tell while playing at "do not disturb" volume) to my favorite Mutron settings.
Oh, and the "must pluck really hard" artifact is also wholly gone.
Very, very nice...

Good to hear!!

the AX3000B is the closest i've gotten to a mutron without a mutron, actually. still have mine, that thing is amazing.

I tried one of those in a shop a few months back and was really surprised at how good the filter was. I almost bought it just for that but I didn't much care for the rest.
This new one looks promising, looking forward to some clips.
I don't need a new filter, I don't need a new filter, I don't need a new filter.
