I think external 2 way is better than internal 3 way. I don't think a lot of bassists are going to miss the HP.
Also, +1 to Mutron clips. I don't know how similar the Q-tron is to the Mutron, I gather it was somewhat modeled after it but not exactly?

Folks - Q-tron is one successor to Mutron. It does not sound like a Mutron.
Spencer has made this pedal to sound like a Mutron.
It shouldn't be asked to sound like a Q-tron. Want a Q-tron? Buy one.

Agreed. I'm actually a keyboardist who loves bass, so I was thinking of the HP for highs on my synth. Even then, I don't use HP very much, so I could certainly live without it.

I feel like it should be noted that the Band Pass mode on the Mu-Tron's are pretty thin! There's no blend function, so it really becomes a low-output signal. Not what you want 'live'. The Mu-Tron Band Pass mode sounds nothing like, say, the newer MXR where its' blended band-pass is very usable.

Just noting this as I've never found a viable use for BP mode on my Mu-Tron. As Spencer noted, I leave it on LP mode all the time.

Now, if you want a souped-up Mu-Tron inspired pedal, having BP w/ blend would be great! But a Mu-Tron clone it wouldn't be.

For my purposes, I could definitely live with just LP mode. The addition of a post-filter variable output stage could be useful though...

I definitely think having a Bootys reference in the name is the way to go. I don't have any experience playing Mutrons so I don't know how usable the BP mode is but having an internal trim pot for volume seems like a good idea.
