New Amp Day - VOX VX50BA

I second the update that the Vox VX50BA still has great tone a couple years after purchase and break-in. YMMV, but don't forget the break-in time documented earlier in this thread. I still love the tone this li'l foxy Voxy gets, even though my lifting restrictions that led me to get it are over. :thumbsup:

i really hope that vox make a V2 of this amp or release more versions of it like a 100w in a 2x8! :bassist::bassist::bassist:

a great many times i have used it outdoors in a wide open city park surrounded by both people and traffic passing by and i can tell you it's awesome works well. powering it off a 12v-60ah lithium ion lifePo battery with an inverter.

Haven't used mine in months, but found this pic!

Bass is my Alembic Stanley Clarke (signed by Stanley Clarke), cat is Kismet who I adopted a few years ago - she was 19 when this pic was taken - she's 21 now and still going strong!

I should crank the thing up at home one of these days. My wife is generally against such things, but a couple of (big) trees fell near my house over the weekend - they're going to be cutting them up and removing the next few days - that might be a good time since it'll be noisy anyway. I'll try and make a video - no promises but it's something to look forward to!

Finally got mine 2 weeks ago!
While at first I was a bit shocked by the toyish appearance and super light weight, the tone is definitely not disappointing
I was looking for something small but still able to have a good tone at very low volume which it does !!
It has not even broken in yet but already does the job!
Particularly love the compressor and drive.
As a bonus Wifey says it can stay on top of our wine cellar

In fact, either the Foxy Voxy combo or the Super Beetle rig are getting set up in the music room today. Aunt Peg isn’t doing it for me ears right now, but I think a solid dose of the NuTube will be just what Doc Intrepid orders.

4FP, grab one of them and make your family proud at how wise you are listening to your advisors. :)
