New Arkham Class D “Beast”

I'm sad to report that I have to let go of my Beast, as incredible an amp as it is. Anyone considering one can scoop up mine, just about mint, for a couple hundred bucks and 6 weeks less than a new one. PM me for more info, the ad link is in my sig. thx

I'm just curios about the Beast
I got the 2DI4 & only use the 3 knobs on my pasive Jazz to get á perfect Sound ,I got inspired after reading Post's from you J.Wolf
& use it with the BB800, could not wish for better tone since 2DI4 is simply á lewel of it's own
But Realy gotten my eyes on the
Beast.
Thoug Sound-vice I dont need
annything. The Beast is á one Unit witch is apealing to me
& sound Good from bits I've heard on youtube
If Sonic Farm made 2DI4 with
an intergraded poweramp, I would get it.

I wouldn't hesitate to get a Beast, its a really spectacular amp, and I've messed around with a lot of amps. Definitely has more of a vintage/ampeg inspired voice than the Sonic farm preamp, which is designed to be more like a mic pre with balls.

I've been wishing they'd make a 2di4 with a 3 band EQ and a 1200w amp, that would be great. The Tantra is pretty unbelievable but its a LOT to manage, even for a nerd like me.

FWIW using the power section of the BB800 is a great option and offers a ton of power in a small and affordable package, but it doesnt really hold up against the fidelity and headroom of either the Pascal 1000w module or the ICE1200 thats in the Beast. Totally different calibers if you ask me. But if someone was like "i need a great light poweramp for 500 bucks, I'd steer them towards the BB800".

May I ask what is the diferent
in Sound & Feel with-
Pascal1000 vs ICE1200 ?
(I dont ewen know if that qustion
make sence?) I think the Sumo
1000 use Pascal
& by the way it has been intersting & Joifull to read some

my very anecdotal and abbreviated take is: 1200 is rounder and warmer, pascal 1000 is quicker with more transient punch. of course this is all completely dependent on all the factors of how these amplifiers are implemented. But having owned a RAD 1000p and a few amps with the ice1200 that's my quick and dirty take. And, in the grander scheme of things, they are way more similar than different.

by a smidge, yes that was my impression. I think that also takes into account the extra capacitance added to the Pascal that is being done by people like Wayne Jones, Trickfish, MAS and RAD.

LOL! Probably pretty unusual to need this much power for sheer volume... but the ability to reproduce transient peaks with absolutely no clipping or distortion is really important for some players' sound. And the Arkham preamps sound so good that reproducing them without any further coloration is worthwhile.

That would be absolutly no Problem for the Tantra!!!
(If you know how to use it)
(just read the Instruction)

Would really like to get the Beast
thoug if I get the Zephyr & pair
it up with the Sumo1000 & be able to use the Sumo with 2DI4
as'well.
Annybody know how the Zephyr
combined with the Sumo1000 -Sound vs the BEAST?
