Thankx man!! She does not weigh very mush at least to me... In american she weighs 9.2lb but in English 4.18kg's..lol
they dont make it in lefty, and that makes me sad. i wish fender offered more leftys. i'd love to own a P5 or a AD J5 like yours.
yeah that does suck...i guess you could always do the Jimi Hendrix Thing but not sure how that would feel to play
I guess one could just get ahold of fender and see if they would make a 5 string for a lefty as a special order!!!
i refuse to do the hendrix thing, it just doesnt feel right to me. if a bass i like isnt made lefty, then i wont have one of those particular basses. i suppose i could talk to someone at gc and see if its at all possible to make a lefty P5.yeah that does suck...i guess you could always do the Jimi Hendrix Thing but not sure how that would feel to play
Man.. That's a great looking bass! Congrats! I almost got the 4 banger version, but ended up going with an American Standard in black and maple. The Natural and maple is very classic looking. Enjoy man!

Very good for a Jazz, my American Standard Jazz weighs 9.35lb / 4.24Kg just a tad over yours.
I'm pretty sure the body is clearcoated in poly. You'd have to sand the body and refinish it.
I'm thinking of getting this bass but i have a question if someone would be so kind as to answer it. Is the Natural Wood version varnished? Or could I go at it with some Black wood stain. I want the wood effect but would prefer it in black.
Thankx Guys.....From The first time i saw a 4 string model at the music store...it was like WOW....It just drew you right to it...could not look at anything else....just something about Them natural Woods with that black accents That look Soo Sexy....It Is Just an Instant classic!!!
I love that combination. It really is a classic. I hope you play the crap out of that bass and enjoy it for years....
How about a Tort guard??Thankx Guys!!! As for me there is no way i would change the bridge or take out the preamp.....come on it is active and passive with the flick of a switch!!! As for a white pickguard....nah i dig the black It is such a classic look like the 75 jazz...i just dont think the white would go well with it! IMHO. Man I waited a month for mine and it was killing me when it was a week late.....i would of died if i had to wait 4 months....but it would of been worth every second of it!!...What can i say It is a Fender!!!
Nah Not for me...if it was a sunburst then yes.....but with everything else black i think it would just look out of place...i mean that is one of the reasons this bass looks Soo damn good... its the combination's of the light wood and black accents....i mean you dont see a tort guard on a 75 jazz!!!
