Yes. Made in Velp. That's where I live. A smal village in The Netherlands.

Putting that on the headstock is a running gag.
I always found it a bit silly to put the name of the town on an instrument. Like Made in San Luis Obispo. Or Made in Ensenada.

So I put the totally insignificant name of Velp on the headstocks of my builds. Knowing it will raise a few eyebrows across the world. ;-)

Yes, that resurfaced after it had been lost for an entire month.
Tom has been using both Brooks basses (the black one and the quilted one) on stage ever since he received them.

The bass was found. And delivered at Tom Petersson's address today! It appears to be undamaged.

Stunningly beautiful. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the bridge (I notice it has separate saddles for the thinner strings - are those individually height adjustable?) and how that interacts with the nut. How do you approach that?

Yes, the saddles are height adjustable.
That has no correlation with the nut.
The bass has a zero fret.

I saw Cheap Trick backing up Aerosmith around 10 years ago, we had awful semi obstructed seats nearly behind the stage, but in nosebleed territory. We could just see down to Rick Neilson’s amp setup, and realized that all the big checkerboard amp and speaker cabs were fake, just empty boxes! Show Biz! He was just miked through one small combo hidden behind the stacks. Tom played a couple different 12 strings, but the one I remember was encrusted with sequins or maybe small mirrors, and it shone like a disco ball. No need for a rhythm guitarist in that gig, the 12 string covered the midrange nicely.

Yeah nearly all big touring bands have a fake backline on stage.
My band played several big festivals and we also did support for big bands.
What the audience sees is not what you hear.

Status Quo had a wall of white Marshalls on stage. But behind the impressive wall were two very antique Vox AC30 amps blasting into a mic.
Lynyrd Skynyrd had a huge white grand piano on stage. It was completely empty with a Casio keyboard gaffer-taped in the part were the original keys used to sit.
Whitesnake had empty Marshall cabinets. And empty Marshall top with only a 9 volt battery for the pilot light. All the guitar sounds came from pods on the floor.

I’m not sure about the current tour but “back then” that’s why Rush started putting goofy stuff like washing machines and vending machines on Geddy’s side. He was all direct to FOH and they were teasing about the fake amps onstage.

My brother went to a Rush concert and got a "freshly washed t-shirt" from one of those washing machines.
