New Bass Help

Hi, new to the forum and bass playing.. I am after some advice on a bass to get me going on the style of music i wanna play. The style i wanna play is Fieldy ( Korn ), Paul Gray ( Slipknot ) and maybe a bit of flea ( Chilli's ). I am tempted towards a five string and i really like the style and look of the Ibanez basses.. Really like the K5 but just a little to expensive.. Any help to set me off would be thankful. Oh i can play a bit of guitar.. :D

Sorry Root I couldn't help myself. Fieldy is not a bassist. Matter of fact his bass playing is down right horrible.

Flea on the other hand can play very well as you know.

Best of luck to you on your search for a bass. I hope all goes well in your endeavors. :bassist:

I know less than noting about the two in bold but as has been mentioned you cannot go wrong with an Ibby ATK or Soundgear, I will also add the G&L Tribute L2000 and L2500 as great choices for the genre and just about any other you can think of.
