New Basses Day - Two classic inspired Fenders

Hello fellow lowenderettes and lowenders,

I wanted to give my rather modern bass collection a bit more classic vibes, so I went for a limited Fender 75th Anniversary Commemorative Precision Bass - 2-color Bourbon Burst.
Sound and feel are just incredible!

And A limited Fender 60th Anniversary '60s Jazz Bass Rosewood Arctic Pearl.
I really love the versatility you get with two separate tone knobs for each pickup.
The string height might need some adjustements out of the box, but this whitey will be ready to go real soon.

If you wonder: I photoshopped the serial number out to prevent fraud.

Classics, indeed! Beautiful basses. The matching headstock on the Jazz is a real bonus (personally I like this a lot better than the combination of a painted body, rosewood fingeboard and maple headstock). The bourbon P is hot, too (although the golden tuners are a bit too hot for me, haha).

The Jazz is a real pretty bass. The arctic pearl has a veeeeeery decent sparkle on it. It's not too on the nose, but if you look closely it really has the feel of fresh fallen show. That's beautiful. And the binding connecting body and head is marvelous.
But it had some QC issues. I was atcthe luthiers yesterday and he worked half an hour on the Jazz. Nothing too serious but shoddy installed knobs shouldn't happen on a bass like this...but it's everything allright now.

The Precision is perfectly built and set up out of the box. And for the golden hardware...it fits my pink cadillac cabrio
Just kidding. The Gold hardware really accomplies the bourbon in person.

Yeah...matching headstock are always great in my opinion

And the white neck binding connect the head and body even more.

Love that Jazz. Such a beautiful instrument. I have a strat in that finish/pickguard that it would match nicely. Maybe it is time to think about expanding the stable of basses. I only wish my strat had that painted to match headstock.

Very nice. The white Jazz bass is so pretty I'd be afraid to play it.

That P-bass is hawt, tho. And that's coming from someone who doesn't generally like natural finishes.

Dear Santa:

I know you are busy preparing things for your annual 'round the world trip delivering gifts to children.
I have been on my best behavior all year and even helped a lost cat return to its owner. I have been respectful of my elders and throughout the pandemic I have been able to provide for my family and share a little extra with those less fortunate.

If you are in Austin on December 25 and happen to have an extra Jazz Bass I would be thrilled for you to bring it down my chimney and leave it under the tree. As you know, we always leave homemade ginger cookies on the hearth for you and leave oatmeal in the yard for your reindeer. Help yourself.
Also, if there are extra basses, I prefer solid colors like arctic white (like the North Pole!).
