Anyone know if the SF300 SUper Fuzz is/will be any good?
If not, what about the UZ400 Ultra Fuzz?
I'm after a fuzz, but I don't have the money for anything expensive at the moment :S

Try a Little Big Muff. Everyone loves 'em. I got mine for $40 on eBay. They sell for like $60 brand new/

Like Toasted said, I'm sure that's not happenning, but since they're running wild with the EHX stuff, maybe a Micro Synth? I'd squeal like a schoolgirl if they ever copped that.

Interesting to see that they have a copy of the SYB-3/5. I can't imagine it tracks worse than the original.

I m looking for multi effects for under 200 dollars, I M KEYBOARD PLAYER BUT LOVE THE BASS ANY SUGGESTIONS.
RE: plastic casings vs. metal casings............. I own a couple of Behringer pedals (including the BDI-21 , which I love!) and although they're encased in plastic rather than metal, I'm not even slightly worried about the casing breaking, It's Tough!,,,, I am more worried about the strength of the actual switches, but they have never failed me.
Does anyone out there have any photos of a Behringer pedal with a broken casing? Could you post it, with an explanation of how it broke? (ie. Accidentally ran over it in a Hummer.)

A lot of folk over on TB seem to spend a great deal of time slagging off Behringer for 'copying' other folks gear.
If I made bicycles, and used two wheels in a 'diamond' shaped frame would the world shout 'he's copying'? I suspect not.
There are only so many ways of configuring electronic componants. I can see why other manufacturers would want to imply 'cheat', because their healthy profit margins are being undercut.
Anyway. Here's my more detailed take on the VT999 Vintage Tube 'Monster'.
The case
All metal construction with 6 screws holding on the thicker steel base that has the chunky rubber feet. They'd need to be removed for fitting velcro. Inside it's pretty neat and tidy and my valve was seated correctly. I fitted a EH 'Cryo' valve for comparison purposes. Fitting the new valve was simplicity in itself.
I didn't check but I suspect the pots have plastic shafts and I'm not sure how you would remove the plastic knobs.
The bypass stomp button is supposedly true bypass but it lacks the usual clicky action that almost all pedals have. It always functions correctly and the 'drive' light that illuminates red when the unit is 'on' is bright and makes the click less than essential.
There is a 3 band EQ being fairly obviously Bass, Mid and Treble, a gain control, a master volume and a noise gate with an input level setting control knob alongside it. It's possible to see the valve glowing gently inside the case through a grill in the top.
So all in all a solid unit that is laid out logically and is easy and intuitive to use.
The zounds
Very interestingly if the gain is kept to zero the unit simply works like a pre-amp with the EQ controls and the master volume. There's no stated specification as to cut/boost levels but the EQ is effective.
I wouldn't describe this unit as a distortion effect, even with the chinese valve left in I'd say it was an overdrive pedal. I also notice no real difference powering it either from my chained Diago supplies or the supplied Behringer PSU.
Bring the gain up to 1 and a noticeable valve 'crunch' occurs, albeit a gentle one. This increases pretty rapidly to an overdrive at levels 3 to 4 followed by a subtle increase in this overdrive up to lvl 10.
With the original valve in place the unit lacks some of it's cleanness and crispness but it's still perfectly okay and excellent value. I'm keeping the EH valve in and it's a worthwhile upgrade.
It's being played via Ric 4003, Microbass II with unit in effects loop set to 100% and with a Unicomp on the way to my BBT500H or LM II heads through an Epiphone 2 x 10" cab.
It's the best overdrive that I have used in my 'home' setting. I'd give it 8/10 because it's huge and because of the plastic knobs.
If anyone knows how they come off I'd appreciate the heads up.

Somebody asked about the Super Fuzz, here's what it is
-it's a rectify octave up fuzz, similar to a roger mayer octavia, death by audio octave clang, etc
it's not just octave up, it's distortion too, 2 modes are for different distortion types. the 3rd mode is volume boost, i don't know why
i love this pedal on guitar, sounds great, cheaper than any other octave up excluding danelectro
-on bass? i wouldn't use this. but if you like the rectify sound.

I use a BOD100, it's a decent distortion (or if you turn the blend down a great clean boost), no mid control though, but still, not bad.
I also use a BCH100, which is GREAT!!! It added alot to my sound, and it's great.
