I've got a Taurus 1 and two Taurus 2s and do not own nor will I buy any behringer stuff so I guess I should keep quiet in this particular thread.

I have a Minitaur but I'm also interested in this product. It's what I've been looking for, for years. There has been a clamor for T-1 specific items for a long time. Moog did a limited-edition T-3 and then the Minitaur but nothing more specific to T-1's. If I can find a way to securely attach the Toro to the PK-5 and they sound even close to the original, then I have no problem spreading out my money to both companies.Sounds like you aren’t the intended consumer for this then
If you know where else I can get an analog Moog Taurus style synth for $200 then please let me know and I’ll gladly throw my money that way instead.
Maybe I jinxed myself when I said I hope this thread doesn’t turn into a dumpster fire in the initial post, because we’re not even to the second page and Behringer haters have already found their way into a thread for a product they’ll never buy, despite having no direct experience with said product.
I made this thread because I’m interested in this new product, not to debate the ethics of the company itself. “Behringer=bad” is far from a new or hot take, and in fact this dead horse has been beaten so many times that it’s reaching “Which is the best bass for metal?” levels of cliché.
Ill never buy this or any other Behringer ripof....ooops, sorry i almost dropped my Sadowsky while typing this. Crap, I did hit my toe with it though...let me see if i have any store brand tylenol and ill be back to preach some more.Moralists gonna moralize. Behringer has kinda been killing it lately with affordable, great sounding synth gear. This looks pretty sick.
Y’all know why Behringer stuff is cheap?
I get it, it’s expensive to buy “the real thing” but if people don’t buy the real thing, then there will be no new real things. Don’t give in.
Is anyone else going to comment that it looks like the.bull is "mounting" the logo?Don’t know if this has been posted yet, but I searched and didn’t see anything.

This could be years away. They’ve a backlog of synths they’ve been teasing. I’ve been waiting on the Pro 16 and UB-xa but there’s no sign this year anyway.
Then it was asked why a Minimoog should cost over $4000 when it only took a couple of hundred to produce. There are a lot of answers for that, with some being good but others including things such as Pride, Greed, and Gatekeeping.
How did you preorder it?This is one of their bigger problems at the moment. The pandemic has slowed production to the point that they're getting the rep of being a vaporware company, which is ridiculous for how Synths they DID release, haha. I've got the UBXA pre-ordered, and at this point they HAVE to nail it. Pretty close won't be close enough, it has to be dead on, especially if the rumored Sequential OB-X Collab with Tom Oberheim happens.
they cost that much because 50 years later they still work. It’s called build quality. I guarantee your Boog will be in a landfill in 50 years (hell probably half that time). To some that is worth paying for. I personally don’t like disposable music gear, I buy vintage when they used parts like steel and wood not flimsy plastic. But I understand I’m not everyone. It’s the same with the Hifi crowd; they stopped supporting companies that in the 80’s and 90’s switched to making everything BPC (black plastic crap).

Did they give you a price?
