New Bergantino cabs!!!!!!!!!

Just got an HT210 and HT115.

Id waste time with a review, but I cant find the words for how sweet these cabs are. They just rock. They do anything and everything Id ever need a cab to do. They are worth the hype, and then some.

Thanks.

You run the fifteen on top just as Jim suggests. I do the same. Congrats... it's an absolutely awesome rig!

As far as the difference between the HT210 and HT210S. Mostly the S had more punch, while the HT210 has a more solid underlying bottom, that has a more piano like tone.

The HT210 and HT115 is a force that could knock you down. No, Im serious. Really, I am.

Bingo! Dead on regarding both comments. :D

Congrats!!!

Coming from you Tom, now that makes me feel good.:D

Seriously though. This rig is just amazing. Gets its first gig test tomorrow, and Im sure its gonna smoke.

Id also like to add a note about the HT115. Holy Crap, whoever said that they couldnt use a 115 for a standalone never heard the HT115. After I got out of loud and destroy mode last night, I soloed each cab. Of course the HT210 is great, but this HT115 IMO is IT when it comes to 1x15 cabs.

I completely agree on your comments about the HT115. That cab is stunning in every way.

While I have had a couple conversations with Jim, I havent asked about the 1x15 on top. I do that because its sounds better to me.

Why does Jim suggest that setup?
Maybe because it sounds better? :p Seriously, I don't know Jim's reason either. In my mind it seems to tighten up the lows, but I've never switched back and forth in the same acoustic environment.

I was wondering this as well...Of course there is no written rule, but I thought that the usual thing to do was to have the 15 on the bottom for a beefier low end. What is the difference in sound between a setup like Travis's (15/210) and the usual setup (210/15)?

Congrats on the new cabs, Travis! I've never heard Berg cabs, but I'd sure love to give some a try. Those cabs look like they're just reeking of tone.

If I recall correctly, Jim recommended stacking the HT115 on top of the HT210 if you encounter a boomy-sounding room. I've tried this many times and it works!:) If the room is decent sounding, I stack the HT210 on top.

The biggest difference to me: within ten feet of my rig, I hear the mid/treble timbre of the fifteen rather than the tens. But lows do seem to be 'tighter' with the 15 on top. I'm sure room acoustics make a big difference here.

Note: the HT210 has amazing low-end response... as I recall, the low-end limit is deeper than the HT115 (36Hz vs. 40Hz? not sure). Despite this, the HT115 (and 15" speakers in general) does have more girth, but that's because it's more efficient in the 100Hz range and less punchy in the mids.

Did a fill in gig in Atlanta last night. Took only the HT115. Everything Ive already said about it, multiply that by about 4.

It was killler, and every member of the band had something good to say about the tone.

What bass did you use? What was it strung with? How would you describe the tones you squeezed out of it?

About how much do one of thos HT115 cost on the used market? How much does it weigh?

I've been thinking about downsizing to a one-cab amp, and I keep thinking about a Berg HT115, since I've heard it's such a great standalone cab.
