New Camera Day

Well I'm get ting the camera today (as long as the mail carrier remembers...). Mail was already dropped off, but I stopped at the office with the tracking number since it said out for del. and it wasn't part of the mail. Mail carrier told postmaster it was too large to carry, and will be stopping by later in the mail truck.

EDIT: All is good with the world right now, as the camera has arrived and the battery is charging.

Took the camera to work to show some co-workers and to play around with it a bit. I only got one decent shot at the end of the night, and will post it in an edit in a bit.

EDIT: This is the last shot of the night, out in our parking lot. It's the only one that turned out decent. Playing around in manual mode, did not read the manual before tinkering.

Tried my hand at astrophotography tonight. Had attempted this the previous 2 nights to no success due to clouds and fog. Here's the best of the bunch that I took tonight. A little blur due to the longer exposure time, but the settings did manage to capture the cosmic dust around the stars, which is what I was trying to get into the picture.
