I hadn't seen this pic before, from the comments in the recent FB post (also on the DD insta). Pale yellow indeed! Still trying to spot the design tweaks... maybe the board on the Primrose one? Does that count?

Fretbord material is different, almost certainly Pau ferro on the production basses. Different cheaper tuners (non hipshot if you look closely you can see the white band) which is disappointing.
Yes, I'd agree it's Pau Ferro. To be honest, I wasn't expecting ebony on the production runs but I was still hoping for it!

Wow, just received my shipping notification direct from Dingwall for my Limited model. Hasn't moved in the system yet but that can take a day or two, then possible border delays when coming from Canada to the US.

Yes, I've heard! With that said, it is now tracking in the DHL system with an estimated arrival of this coming Friday. I don't believe it could be that quick, but that's what the tracking status states.

You may want to check that as I don't think these are ready to ship yet. I predict they will ship in______. Nah, I learned never to try predicting these bass’s ship dates. “They Ship Wnen They Ship” is what my experience tells me as the best way to think of them.
But in case I am wrong, good for you, please post pics.
It has definitely shipped and apparently went through customs without hesitation. Tracking still shows tomorrow arrival and is currently in Cincinnati, though DHL tracking does currently state that it is on hold in that location. Not sure what that means, or maybe it is typical before moving on. With that said, it is a long way between Cinci and where I'm at near Seattle so we'll see. If it does show up tomorrow, or whenever it does show up, I'll post pics within a few hours of its arrival.

DHL, depending on the route, will hand off to USPS. THEN it becomes a nightmare to track. I have had several of these and DHL totally destroyed the boxes. Lucky the Dingwalls do ship in a gigbag. What I did was go to my local post office and ask them to track it, but still didnt work, it would just show up. But this was after going through hrs of phone calls with DHL as they let it sit in a location for days with no one at all having any idea of where it was. A complete nightmare every single shipment. As much of a headache as FedEx was, I vastly prefer them to DHL. They destroyed a few boxes and a bass or two, but not every single box. Probably, in an area that DHL services, it may not be so bad. I mention it in case you live in an area that DHL does not service.
Thanks for the info! As of this morning my tracking number did not work, as if it did not exist! After trying several different ways to access tracking, I finally clicked on a secondary tracking service that tracks shipments for everyone (Aftership) and they show that the package is out for delivery with a courier, but did not say which courier. So I'm sure you are right about DHL in this area. So USPS or UPS or FedEX I am waiting on YOU!!
Well here it is gents! Arrived about 30 minutes ago and I snapped a couple quick pics. Came with an extra set of strings, white pickguard that was in the gigbag, some kind of pouch I haven't opened yet and another small item I haven't even looked at yet, plus a nice box including a custom Dingwall wall hanger and some kind of fancy collectible pick. All looks great! I'm not very good at reviews since they are so subjective and I'm not ready to say much about it yet anyway. Action is set very low, but I'm an aggressive player so I'll definitely be raising those strings up quite a bit. I was a bit worried at first as not all of the controls were working! Turns out it did not come with any batteries for the active electronics which makes sense, so many regulations with that now. Popped those in and all good! My first experience with fanned frets, and immediately I did not even notice, except I see when I play up above the 12th fret things are looking pretty weird in that area, that will take a bit to get used to, but 1st-12th I don't even notice a difference with that. With the JT signature, I haven't examined closely enough yet to see if it is hand written or printed. Very serious and plush and heavy duty gigbag. I just noticed that on the back of the headstock it is handwritten 7/82.
