I'm really geeking out here... I've noticed more things at Sweetwater. Perhaps other retailers are the same? "Primrose" is now being called "Gloss Cream". You can see that their Item ID still reflects the old name. Also, unless they are bleached to heck, I'm pretty sure these variants do not have a Pau Ferro fingerboard.

"Primrose" was always going to be the toughest sell in the range, both in terms of visuals and name, among a famously conservative demographic. So I wouldn't be at all surprised if they've respun it as "Gloss Cream" to make it a bit more attractive.

I'm pretty sure that it's only ever had a maple board. The "Pau Ferro" mention will be a copy-paste error.

Also, the toggle switch is the old original large paddle style, rather than the newer and less intrusive 'mini bat' style that is being added to new models [starting with the Nashville, if I remember correctly]. Sheldon himself has admitted that the original style switch used to catch on things, and as an owner myself, I can confirm!

Yeah, that switch is cut your finger bad. Glad it's been changed. I have a replacement in my Upgrade Kit that is waiting to go on... at some point.

Heh - me too! But soldering is a step too far for my skills, so I need to wait until I have a bit of time and money to take it to my tech.

Speaking of that switch, I'm sure glad we have the passive backup. I last installed fresh batteries in May of 2025, and now I'm out of juice. Seems I barely got a year out of them. "Lil' Neve" is one thirsty child.

Honestly, I don't miss the active circuit, not for recording anyway. It's plenty powerful, and balanced.
