Yep. I get that. I’m surprised they didn’t offer another Short Scale model. Mine is my favorite 4 string bass I’ve ever owned .
If they had offered a 5 string , I would be placing my order .
But I guess Tim doesn’t play 5 string .
I’m not that familiar with him. Just like the features on my Short scale .

I have an active long scale from the original run and it’s a lovely bass. It’s very light and I love it being strong-through.
The string gauge, mutes and ramp all help get the Timmy C sound but aren’t show-stopping.
I did wonder when they’d would make another run. The ebony boards look nice. Ideally, they would make an active version of the natural finish bass with ebony board from the original run.

I'm not feeling the look of that thumb rest. Just doesn't flow..jmho

I'm a huge fan of his style, sounds and playing, but I feel you on this. Also the ebony boards are not my cup of tea. I'd love a passive 4-string version with a fat maple neck and board and a simple colour... I bet the passive version works better with certain fuzzes than with the active electronics.
Good for Tim he deserves it. Love his Stingray tone on the first RATM album. I know he's been dealing with prostate cancer the past few years but he's looking nice and healthy in this video.
The first round sold out quick fast and in a hurry .
Looks like the blue passive sold out and only 5 of the green are left in the EBMM vault / store .
Maybe some dealers will get one of the 50 units available in each color .

Look again . There a few subtle differences that you won’t find on another StingRay at all or simultaneously .
The cool thing about the original run was that they came with a black pickguard, so if you wound the ramp all the way back down flush with the pickguard, the ramp was barely visible from a distance.
I suppose. But nothing hugely different. Nothing that you couldn’t change out on your own if you wanted. Most of the signature bases are just to sell product because of the name.
I totally agree. They should have also rounded the opposing treble side corner....and also incorporated the rest into the pup cover. That would have been a lot sleeker/cleaner.

I think it blends in better when they had it on the models with black pickguards.
