New Ernie Ball Short Scale Collection

I’m obviously in the minority here but really, who cares? There’s nothing new or exciting to speak of - it’s just fancy colours on the same old platform. Just my $0.02
Obviously a lot of people care. These usually sell out other quickly. No one claimed it was anything new or updated. These have been out of stock for quite some time Just letting people know , especially since someone in this thread inquired about when they would be available again. If you aren't interested , good for you. Personally, Im not either. That certainly doesnt mean that other people aren't and shouldn't be.

25ea in 5 colours means 125. Not a lot of people interested based upon the number selling.
Its only been announced a couple of hours. They always do small runs of these . Are they as popular as 34 scale....nope. No one here would expect that. They will sell out. Ernie Ball doesn't build what doesn't sell. Ask the Big Al and Caprice and Cutlass fans. I suspect this the reason they only do fretless models in small BFR quantities .

For sure, I've made the same comment in other threads about these short run models.
I just think they're too expensive and wonder if they'll actually have any better resale compared to the regular models in a few years.

Because OMG short scale! Don’t you know in 2022 everyone is playing short scale and short scale only? If you still have a 34” scale bass cluttering up your house toss it on the bonfire because long scale basses are out and short scales are in! Short scale basses are taking over the world while long scale basses are taking a dirt nap. Good riddance to bad rubbish I say!
