Double Bass NEW Euphonic Audio iAMP Doubler

One question: Anyone know if the Markbass dual footswitch will work with the Doubler? I'm hoping to use it to switch channels and mute output.

I live quite close to Veillette's shop and he has invited me there many times. I just never seem to get around to going

I thought some others might find this useful.

I just got a doubler and wanted to use it with my cabinet tilted back. I got a piece of vinyl floor tile and cut it down to 10" x 4". I then cut 2 pieces of 4" wide "hook" Velcro and covered both sides of the tile and put a 10"x4" piece of "loop" Velcro on the bottom of the Doubler. I use the amp with an Ampeg and some Accugroove cabinets which are all carpeted. With the Velcro covered tile mounted to the bottom of the amp simply placing it on the cabs keeps it very firmly in place. The thickness of the tile combined with the Velcro lets the "hooks" bite in to the carpet and removing it allows you to use the standard feet. It also doesn't add any weight or bulk to the amp.
Since the amp is so light this will keep it from being dragged off of the cabinet during a gig. You could also adhere a 10"x4" piece of "loop" Velcro to the top of non-carpeted cabinets.

intelligent switching With only a single input, into channel 2, you can switch between the EQ settings on Channel 1 or Channel2 (i.e. solo setting). Wne using both inputs - for either 2 instruments or a mic/pickup you can choose from either or both. However, the EQ is now assigned to it's own input channel.

footswitch Any standard footswitch will suffice. With a dual footswitch you can control both channel switching and the mute function

I just got a Doubler and am wondering what footswitch would be best. Does anyone have a specific suggestion? Like, a name? Also, do i need a dual switch to mute first before switching to avoid any popping sound? thanks....

Any momentary footswitch such as the Boss FS-6 or Rolls RP8 (thanks to mark gollihur for the info). You do not need to mute first to switch

Ordered mine from Bob yesterday, looking forward to it.

I tried out a pair of Wizzy 10s at last week's gig (I've had a single for years, bought a second a
few weeks ago). The only amp I have that can handle two ohms is an '81 Fender Bassman 135.
Felt strange using an amp that weighs so much with the lightweight cabs. This was a terrible
stage with big amps on it form other groups (breaking in a new singer at a freebie show), so I
pointed one back at the drummer and the other forward. Sounded great, best amped tone I've
had on a gig.

I've designed a junction box to connect the Wizzy cabs in series for an 8 ohm load. This way, I'll
be able to parallel them with my 8 ohm Bag Ends if/when I need more speaker for outdoor shows
and give the Doubler a 2.66 ohm load.

Lava Cable -> fdeck HPF-Pre -> '81 Fender Bassman 135 -> Wizzy 110 cabs (A and C serials).

Can the doubler be run without a speaker load? I do some doubling gigs using a bass with pickup and mic'd acoustic instruments (banjo, tenor guitar, ukulele, etc), and the Doubler would make a convenient two channel preamp to feed into the PA.
