I like the active/passive switch. I use my G&L L2000 in passive all the time, but it is nice to have an option to go active.

Interesting. I hope that they offer a five string version of it. It looks like it will street for 1400-1500 or so. The competition is pretty tight in that market.

Don't believe anything you read on the Fender site. Their web designers seem to copy and paste specs from one bass to another without worrying about whether the info is correct. There is an Am. Dlx. Jazz V, but the P is only a four. And the five string Jazz, doesn't have a 1.625" nut - that's the four string P.

These things were all the rage a few months ago... haven't heard anything since. They haven't really hit the used market and my GC doesn't stock them.
